Steam userdata (managed by Steam)
Medieval Dynasty is a long-haul survival-sim where losing a dynasty save hurts. The saves are in the hidden AppData\Local tree, not Documents. Here is the exact PC path, how to open it, and how to back up your village before a bad update.
Save file locations
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Medieval_Dynasty\Saved\SaveGames
Full default: C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Local\Medieval_Dynasty\Saved\SaveGames\ . Saves are numbered Save000–Save099. AppData\Local is hidden by default.
Steam userdata (managed by Steam)
Steam Cloud mirrors the saves and syncs on launch/exit. If a cloud and local save conflict after offline play, keep the newer one so you don't lose dynasty progress.
Cloud saves
Medieval Dynasty uses Steam Cloud. It syncs on launch and exit, so a corrupted or half-written save can overwrite your good cloud copy the next time you launch. Treat a manual copy of the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Medieval_Dynasty\Saved folder as your real backup.
Cloud save conflict & platform recovery
Common loss: dynasty progress rolled back after a crash or a session on a second PC — Steam Cloud synced an older or half-written save over the newer local one.
- Before relaunching after a crash, copy %LOCALAPPDATA%\Medieval_Dynasty\Saved somewhere safe.
- If the cloud rolled progress back, disable Steam Cloud for Medieval Dynasty in its Properties (or go offline) before launching.
- Restore your copied Saved folder, launch once offline to confirm, then re-enable cloud so the good save uploads.

FAQ
Where is the Medieval Dynasty save file on PC?
In C:\Users\<you>\AppData\Local\Medieval_Dynasty\Saved\SaveGames\ . Press Win+R and paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\Medieval_Dynasty\Saved\SaveGames. Saves are numbered Save000–Save099.
Does Medieval Dynasty use Steam Cloud?
Yes. Saves sync on launch and exit, so a bad local save can overwrite the good cloud copy — keep a manual backup of the Saved folder.

How do I move my Medieval Dynasty saves to a new PC?
Copy the Saved folder to the same %LOCALAPPDATA%\Medieval_Dynasty path on the new PC before first launch, or let Steam Cloud sync.
