Cloud save conflict & platform recovery

The common loss is 'my career/profile reset after an update or on a second PC' — the folder moved from Documents\ACE to Saved Games\ACE, or Steam Cloud synced an empty new-build profile over your old one.

  1. Before launching after an update, copy both Documents\ACE (old) and Saved Games\ACE (new) somewhere safe.
  2. If the game started you fresh after 0.5.2, close it, copy the contents of your old Documents\ACE into Saved Games\ACE, then launch.
  3. If Steam shows a Cloud Conflict, check which side has your latest career progress before choosing — do not blindly 'upload to Steam' if the local copy is the fresh/empty one.
