On Steam Deck the save lives inside the game's Proton prefix, not your Linux home. AppID 2881650. Proton always names the Windows user 'steamuser'. If installed on a microSD card, look under that card's steamapps/compatdata/ instead. The folder won't appear until you've launched the game once.
Cloud saves
Content Warning uses Steam Cloud for save.dat, so progress syncs across machines on the same account. If a conflict appears after offline play, keep the newer save so you don't reset your perks and cash.
