Hades Save File Location

Here's exactly where Hades stores your save on every platform, how to open the folder, and how to back it up.

Save file locations

Windows (Steam / Epic)
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Saved Games\Hades

Full path: C:\Users\<YourName>\Documents\Saved Games\Hades\ . Your run data is in Profile1.sav (with matching backup files).

PlayStation 5 / PS4
Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data

Console saves are sealed and can't be copied as raw files. Back them up to PS Plus cloud or a USB drive from this menu.

Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One
My games & apps > <Game> > Manage game > Saved data

Xbox saves sync automatically to the cloud with your Microsoft account; there is no user-accessible save file on disk.

Nintendo Switch
System Settings > Data Management > Save Data

Switch saves stay in the console's protected storage; back them up via Nintendo Switch Online cloud saves.

Cloud saves

On PC, Hades uses Steam Cloud (or Epic cloud), so your Profile1.sav syncs across machines with the same account. If a cloud and local save conflict after offline play, keep the newer copy so you don't lose your progress.

How to open the save folder

  1. Press Win + R to open the Run box.
  2. Type %userprofile%\Documents and press Enter.
  3. Open Saved Games > Hades.
  4. Copy the whole save folder somewhere safe before editing, modding, or moving PCs.
