Cloud saves
On PC the game supports cloud saves (Steam Cloud on the Steam version), so your progress follows your account to other machines. After playing offline, keep the copy with the later timestamp if a cloud conflict appears — the older one overwrites newer hours.
How to open the save folder
- Press Win + R to open the Run box.
- Type %userprofile%\Saved Games and press Enter.

Save problems & fixes
KCD2 save won't load or is corrupt
Close the game and restore an earlier file from saves\playline0 (autosaves are numbered). On Steam, also Verify integrity of game files via Properties → Installed Files.
My KCD2 saves are missing after moving PCs
Copy the entire Saved Games\kingdomcome2 folder, not just individual files, and place it at the identical path on the new machine while the game is closed so cloud sync doesn't overwrite it.
Progress rolled back after a cloud conflict
Keep the save with the LATER timestamp. If unsure, disable cloud sync, back up the local kingdomcome2 folder, then re-enable and let it sync.
