World saves are separate from characters — back up both together.

Cloud saves

Core Keeper uses Steam Cloud, but the local copy lives in AppData\LocalLow\Pugstorm. In-game you can also press Ctrl + Alt + B on the main menu to drop a CoreKeeperSaves.zip backup on your desktop. Let Cloud finish syncing before restoring a backup.

How to open the save folder

  1. Press Win + R to open the Run box.
  2. Paste %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Pugstorm\Core Keeper\Steam and press Enter (LocalLow is hidden).
  3. Open your <SteamID> folder, then copy the saves and worlds folders somewhere safe.

Save problems & fixes

Characters or worlds don't appear after copying

Make sure you placed them under the correct <SteamID> folder and kept saves and worlds separate. Verify the game is fully closed and Steam Cloud has finished syncing.
